Biography

Salih Ahmad Fatah Khadr, also known as Raisi I Salih Pedawi, was born in 1933 in Peday village of Duhok province. He completed his secondary and high school education in Duhok province. In 1975, after the collapse of the September Revolution, he fled to Iran. He died on December 18, 1991 in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. His body was returned to Kurdistan and buried in the cemetery of Pide village. He was fluent in Kurdish, Arabic, Persian, English and Dutch.


The struggle

On November 6, 1958, he welcomed President Mustafa Barzani and his entourage at Al-Musana airport near Baghdad. In 1959, he attended an artillery course and served in the 3rd Artillery Unit of the 20th Brigade of the Iraqi Army does. In 1962, he was sentenced to five years in prison in the desert prison of Nugra Salman for political activities. On September 29, 1971, after the assassination attempt on President Mustafa Barzani by the terrorists of the Iraqi government, he accompanied him to Naw In 1973, he attended a six-month special military leadership course abroad. From 1973 to 1975, he was the commander of the Kirkuk forces, which were completely surrounded by the Iraqi army and Iraqi government jashes.
