Martyr Hussein Ibrahim Ababakr was born in 1942 in the village of Rûstê, which belongs to the Balekayetî area of Erbil Governorate; he lived in the village and worked as a farmer.
In 1965, he joined the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the 3rd Battalion of the Balak Force, and participated in the battles of Gorez, Hindrîn, and Korekî. In 1968, he was martyred by the Ba'ath regime in the battle of Mount Zozk.
