Struggle Record

Ali Rahim Ali Karam joined the organizations of the Khurmal organization in the year 1963 under the responsibility of his brother, Kamal Hawari, affiliated with the Halabja Regional Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. At that time, as a secret cell inside the city, he was tasked with gathering information inside the city of Halabja. In the year 1965, he became a Peshmerga in the Seventh Battalion of the Khabat Force under the command of Abdulwahab Atrushi. In the year 1966, as a partisan group, they went into the city of Halabja to carry out an Activity, during which he was wounded, a bullet hit his head, and his cheek and right ear were cut. After receiving treatment, he returned and received the rank of squad leader in the Bargalu Branch. In the year 1967, in the Barda Chalan area, during a confrontation with the regime's soldiers and Jash, he was wounded for the second time, and a bullet hit his arm. After receiving treatment and returning to the revolution, he received the rank of platoon leader in the Bargalu Branch.

On the date of 24 May 1969, by order of the revolution leadership, a group of Peshmerga consisting of Aziz Atrushi, Ali Rashash, Manuchehr Beg Inakhi, and Ahmed Bakrawayi went to Shnrwe Mountain. First, they went to the village of Hawar to visit Ali Hawari's father so that he could assist them. Ali Hawari's father, as a guide and someone familiar with the area, sent Ali Hawari with them, and that same day they went to their positions in Kali Ashkewtan on Shnrwe Mountain. At that time, news reached Ibrahim Ahmed's faction, who had rebelled against the revolution and the Kurdistan Democratic Party that Aziz Atrushi was on Shnrwe Mountain. Therefore, Ibrahim Ahmed's faction planned a sudden attack, began preparations, and attacked them. As a result, Aziz Atrushi and Manuchehr Beg were martyred, and Ali Hawari was severely wounded. While wounded, he moved himself away from the positions. A few minutes later, near their positions, Ali Hawari was martyred, and his body did not fall into the hands of the faction. However, Jalal Talabani dragged the bodies of the four martyrs—Aziz Atrushi, Manuchehr Beg Inakhi, Ahmed Bakrawayi, and Ali Rashash—from Shnrwe Mountain to the city of Halabja by pack animal and completely mutilated their bodies. Inside the city of Halabja, religious men and a group of the city's personalities went to their path, and after many requests, they received the bodies from them. That same time, they collectively bought a piece of land at the entrance of the city of Halabja to bury them and named it the Martyrs' Cemetery. After finding Ali Hawari's body on Shnrwe Mountain, Ali Hawari's family took it to the village of Hawar and buried him there.
