Martyr Abdulwahid Hemed Law, known by the name (Abdulwahid Hemed Law), was born in 1946 in the village of Giwani, which is part of the Diana sub-district of Erbil province. He was married and had two sons and four daughters.

In 1964, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, passed through party ranks, and finally became a Member of the Rawandiz District Committee. In the same year, he joined the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces. He became a Peshmerga in the Seyid Asi Battalion of the Balek Force. In a short time, he became a Platoon Commander, and in the same Battalion, after the March 11, 1970 agreement, which was signed between the Kurdistan Democratic Party under the leadership of Mela Mustafa Barzani and the Ba'ath Party, Abdulwahid Hemed Law continued his organizational work on the border of the Rawandiz District Committee.

In 1974, after the start of the war between the Peshmerga Forces and the Ba'ath Party, Abdulwahid Hemed Law once again took up the Peshmerga weapon and defended the land of Kurdistan. On April 17, 1974, in the battle of Mount Gorez near the village of Balekiyan in the Diana sub-district, he himself, along with his brother, a cousin, and several of his relatives, were martyred.

Due to the war situation and the presence of bombardment by the enemy's tanks and artillery, they could not bury the martyr's body from the village of Giwan. For that reason, they were buried in the village of Sitkan.
