Martyr Anjuman Yar Ahmed Afrasiaw, Peshmerga of the September and Gulan revolutions, was martyred in the Battle of Ahmed Awa in 1983.
Anjuman Yar Ahmad Afrasiaw was born in the village of Zardhal, which belongs to the Pyara district in the Hawraman region in 1955. He was a villager who only completed primary school. In 1974, he joined the Peshmerga forces under (Akbar Haider Khanqini) in the fourth company of the seventh Pyara regiment in the Khabat forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He fought in the ranks of the Peshmerga of the September Revolution in the areas of Mergasur, Rawanduz and Bekhal.
In November 1981, he rejoined the Peshmerga forces within the Hawraman forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, led by Nader Hawrami. He was close to the latter and received orders from him.
In 1983, he participated in the Battle of Ahmadawa, where he was martyred after being shot while confronting the Ba'athist regime's army. Two of his Peshmerga comrades, Raouf Hajiji and Sayed Kamal, were also martyred with him.
