The book primarily focuses on the visit of a group of German journalists and photographers to Kurdistan in 1963. They collected photographs, wrote reports and documented films on the political situation in Kurdistan. The book sheds light on the Iraqi state's war with advanced weapons and thousands of soldiers against a small group like the Kurdish Peshmerga who had light weapons and no support from a country or force.
