Sulaiman Abdulrahman Tagozi

Martyr Sulaiman Abdulrahman Mohammed, also known as Sulaiman Abdulrahman Tagozi, was a Peshmerga of the Gulan Revolution. In 1983, he and two of his comrades were ambushed by the Ba'ath regime's (Jashes) in Tagozi region. Unfortunately, he was imprisoned in Mosul for a year and three months and later on he was martyred.


Sulaiman Abdulrahman Mohammed, a martyr also known as Sulaiman Abdulrahman Tagozi, was born in 1962 in the Halabja province village of Towshkeni in the Bamo district. He was a shopkeeper in the Zarayan market and a resident of Zarayan village. He completed his primary-level studies.

He joined the Martyr Sheikh Mohammed Organization, a force that belonged to the Sirwan division of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), as a Peshmerga in 1981. The branch was under the command of Hama Hama Saleh Glajali, and Jalal Lawrani was in charge of the force. Furthermore, He participated in activities in Shameran, Tagozi, Darbandikhan, Halabja and Sharazoor plains.

On May 3, 1983, the Ba'ath regime's (Jashes) ambushed Martyr Sulaiman and two of his comrades, Ghafoor Mohammed Glajali and Fayeq Ali Ghafoor, near Hokani village in the Tagozi region of Halabja. Then, as a result, Fayeq Ali was martyred first. Later, Sulaiman Abdulrahman Tagozi and Ghafoor Glajali were arrested after several hours of fighting while they were wounded. Moreover, Ghafoor Glajali was beheaded by the (Jash) chief. In addition, Sulaiman and the head of Ghafoor were given to the Ba'ath regime in exchange for money. Sulaiman Abdulrahman Tagozi was shot and killed on July 22, 1984, after serving a year and three months in a Mosul prison.

Jalal Mohammed Ahmad

Martyr Jalal Mohammed Ahmad served as a Peshmerga during the May Revolution. Throughout his Peshmerga career, he encountered two occurrences of injury. In 1982, he was apprehended by the Sulaimani security forces and subsequently executed. Jalal Mohammed Ahmad was born in 1962 in the village of Dula Suri, located in the Nalparez district of Penjwen district. He grew up as a villager and received education up until primary school.
