Salih Rashid Salih Murad

Martyr Salih Rashid, a Peshmerga during the September Revolution, attained the rank of branch clerk. Tragically, he was shot and killed in 1969 during an Iraqi military attack on the Peshmerga positions. Salih Rashid Salih, also known as Faqe Salih, was born in 1950 in the village of Razlay in the Nalparez district of Penjwen. He worked as a farmer and completed his primary education in the village before relocating to Penjwen to pursue religious studies and mullah classes.

In 1966, he joined the Peshmerga as part of the third branch under Sheikh Mohammed Basaki, which was affiliated with the 9th Battalion of Martyr Dilshad in the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). Fatah Agha served as the battalion commander during that time. In 1967, Salih was appointed as the branch secretary. Tragedy struck on May 24, 1969, when the Iraqi regime forces launched an attack on the Peshmerga positions near the Khurmal district. It was in the defense battlefield of Rostam Beg village that Faqe Salih was fatally shot and martyred.

Jalal Mohammed Ahmad

Martyr Jalal Mohammed Ahmad served as a Peshmerga during the May Revolution. Throughout his Peshmerga career, he encountered two occurrences of injury. In 1982, he was apprehended by the Sulaimani security forces and subsequently executed. Jalal Mohammed Ahmad was born in 1962 in the village of Dula Suri, located in the Nalparez district of Penjwen district. He grew up as a villager and received education up until primary school.
