Nazhat Hali Mohammed Qadir

Nazhat was subsequently selected for a position on the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leadership council during the party's thirteenth conference in 2010. He led the Special Organization Bureau in 2004. He also assumed leadership of the Kurdistan Regional Security Agency in 2018. He speaks Kurdish, Persian, English, and Arabic fluently. 


Biography

Nazhat Hali was born in 1966 in Erbil. In 2000, he graduated from the College of Law of Salahaddin University, Erbil, and in 2007, he received a master's degree from the National Defense University in Baghdad. Then in 2022, he received his PhD from Salahaddin University entitled (National Security Between Internal and External Challenges). He is fluent in Kurdish, Persian, English and Arabic.


Service Record

His grandfather, Hali Dolamari, was martyred in the First Barzan Revolution in 1932. His father, Hali Dolamari, became a refugee in Eastern Kurdistan in 1945 after the fall of the Second Barzan Revolution. He joined the Kurdistan Democratic Republic Army in 1946 and was one of the comrades of General Mustafa Barzani on his way to the Soviet Union. 1995 saw the martyrdom of his father. 

Nazhat Hali fled to Iran with his family in 1975 after the fall of the September Revolution. In 1982 he joined the Kurdistan Students Union and in 1984 he joined (KDP)

He was the representative for both the 10th (1993) and 12th (1999) congresses. Then, he was a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leadership council in 2010. Moreover, in 2018, he became the director of the Kurdistan Regional Security Agency (KRG).

During his work in the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), he received several positions and responsibilities, such as: member of the Special Organization Bureau (1995), Head of Duhok Provincial Protection (2001), administrator of Duhok Branch 1 Committee (2001), assistant of Head of Public Protection Agency (2002-2003) head of the Special Organization Bureau (2004), etc.
