Hama Salih Abdulkarim Mohammed, born in 1947 in the village of Grezay, Said Sadiq district. He hailed from a farming background. After his displacement to Iran, he settled in Darbandi Dzli before eventually returning to Kurdistan. The Ba'ath regime then transferred him to Diwaniya in southern Iraq. Hama Salih Abdulkarim was married to Khurshida Saeed and had three sons and one daughter named Qadir, Sardar, Salah, and Sarwa.
In 1969, he assumed the role of a Peshmerga within the 3rd division of the 9th Battalion, known as Martyr Dilshad, which was affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). Sheikh Mohammed Basaki assumed the position of battalion leader, while Fatah Agha held the role of battalion commander. In 1974, he was seriously wounded by a bullet in his right leg on Hassan Beg Mountain in Soran region. In 1979, Hama Salih Abdulkarim resumed his Peshmerga duties, this time under the command of Abdullah Agha, who was associated with the Hawraman forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). On September 4, 1981, after completing an operation in the Sharazoor plain, Hama Salih Abdulkarim and his comrades planned to briefly rest in the village of Greza before venturing into the mountains with essential supplies. Tragically, their journey was cut short as they fell into an ambush orchestrated by a PUK force, resulting in the martyrdom of Hama Salih Abdulkarim and his brother Mohammed Abdulkarim (Hama Grezayi).
