Jalal Bag Shwani

Teacher Jalal Abdul-Rahman Amin joined the ranks of the Kurdish Democratic Party in 1947. He was elected by the representatives of the Congress in 1959 as a member of the central committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (Fourth Congress). In 1960-1961 he was the head of the third staff of the second branch of the party. In 1961 he escaped from the Iraqi police. He joined the ranks of the Peshmarga, in 1964 he left political work.

Biography 

Teacher Jalal Abdul-Rahman Amin (Jalal Abdul-Rahman Amin), known as Jalal Abdul-Rahman Shwani, Jalal Abdulrahman Bag Mam Rush and Jalal Bag Shwani (1928-1987). He was born in Kirkuk. He graduated from the Higher Teachers house in Baghdad in 1953. In 1953-1957 he was the principal of the Redar Primary School in the vicinity of the directorate education of Kirkuk governorate. In 1960, he married Ziba Abdul Wahid Mukhtar from Koya. In 1957, he his service was transferred to Chamchamal, Kirkuk.

On June 18, 1987, he died due to the heart failiure in the village of Mam Rush of Kirkuk governorate, which was his hometown and was buried in the cemetery of Sheikh Muhyi-aldin in Kirkuk city. He knew Kurdish, Arabic, Turkmen and English.


Memoir of Struggle 

In 1947, he joined the Kurdish Democratic Party, in 1949 he was imprisoned by the police in a demonstration against the authority of the Kingdom of Iraq in Kirkuk, and then sent to the prison of the army camp of Washash near Baghdad. In 1953, he joined the Kurdistan Students Union. In 1958 he was the reason for the people of the Shwani region in the vicinity of Kirkuk governorate to join the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1958, he was a member of the district of the district Committee of the Kirkuk of the third branch of the Kurdistan United Democratic Party. In 1959, he was elected by the representatives of the Congress as a member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iraq (Fourth Congress).

In 1959, he was appointed as the head of the committee of the third branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Iraq. On the 10th of September 1959, he was the representative of the first Kurdish Teachers Union (Shaqlawa’s first congress) Congress. In 1960 he was a member of the founding committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s public phase. In 1960 he was elected by the representatives of the Congress as a member of the central committee (Fifth congress) of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1960-1961 he was responsible for the third staff of the second branch committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 1961, he escaped from the Iraqi police and joined the Peshmerga forces. On 18-23 December 1961he participated in the meeting of Awdalan he voted yes for the continuation of the September revolution.

In 1962, during a secret activity he was imprisoned and tortured in Baghdad prison. On June 10, 1963, he participated in the Shiwasur battle in the vicinity of Kirkuk Governorate against the forces of national guards (Al-Haras al-Qawmi). In 1963, he was the head of the second branch committee. On April 4-9, 1964 he didn’t participate in the large meeting of Mawat which was against the removal of President Mustafa Barzani (1903-1979) from the presidency by the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. On April 8, 1964, he was a member of the delegation of the large meeting of Mawat for the purpose of visiting President Mustafa Barzani, on April 10, 1964 in the village of Sangasar, Suleymaniyah governorate, They met with President Mustafa Barzani and reached the conclusion of holding the sixth congress, but they failed due to the declaration against the president by the political party.
