Farooq Hama Ali Faraj Sharif

Martyr Farooq Hama Ali was a Peshmerga of the Kurdistan uprising. He was seriously wounded in the liberation of Kirkuk in 1991 and was martyred in Sulaimani hospital.


Farooq Hama Ali Faraj was born in 1970 in Nawi village of Khurmali district of Halabja province. He worked as a farmer and resided in the village. He studied until secondary school.

He joined the Kurdistan Democratic Party's (KDP) fourth branch as a Peshmerga in the Arbat regional committee during the people's uprising in 1991. At that time, Shaheed Akram Hama Ali was in charge of the regional committee.

Farooq participated in the liberation of Barika military base, Zhala military base, Halabja, Arbat district, Sulaimani and Kirkuk.

Farooq Hama Ali Faraj was shot and critically injured on March 20, 1991, during the liberation of Kirkuk, inside the Kirkuk General Security Headquarters. He was then transported to Sulaimani Hospital, where he succumbed to his severe wounds on April 1st, 1991.

Jalal Mohammed Ahmad

Martyr Jalal Mohammed Ahmad served as a Peshmerga during the May Revolution. Throughout his Peshmerga career, he encountered two occurrences of injury. In 1982, he was apprehended by the Sulaimani security forces and subsequently executed. Jalal Mohammed Ahmad was born in 1962 in the village of Dula Suri, located in the Nalparez district of Penjwen district. He grew up as a villager and received education up until primary school.
