Ahmad Tawfiq Abdulqadir was born in 1951 in the village of Barweni, located in the Bamo district of Halabja province. His education was limited to primary school, and he led a simple life as a farmer in his village. He was happily married to Akhtar Ahmad and blessed with two daughters named Khoshk and Parzhin.
In 1969, Ahmad joined the ranks of the Peshmerga, specifically the Shameran Force, which operated independently under the leadership of Martyr Hama Shamerani. He faithfully followed the orders of the revolutionary leadership, and the force primarily operated in the Shameran and Nawroli regions. However, after the establishment of the military structure of the September Revolution in 1965, this force became integrated into the Kurdistan Democratic Party's forces. Ahmad actively participated in significant battles such as the Battle of Bamo, the Battle of Zmnako, the Battle of Karadag, the Battle of Hawraman, and the Battle of Halabja.
During the Battle of Zmnako in 1974, Ahmad suffered a severe leg injury inflicted by two Iraqi soldiers.
Following the collapse of the September Revolution, Ahmad continued his Peshmerga struggle under the command of Qadir Hamasaleh Tagozi in the Shahid Aziz Tofiq branch, which belonged to the Tagozi Battalion. On September 15, 1981, he bravely entered Halabja to carry out a vital revolutionary mission. Unfortunately, upon completing his mission, he fell into an ambush set up by the Ba'ath regime's jashes and lost his life. In a tragic turn of events, his brother Aziz Tofiq also became a martyr in 1982.
