Ahmad Mawlood Mahmoud Murad

Ahmad Mawlood Mahmoud, a Peshmerga of the September Revolution, was wounded once during his Peshmerga career. Ahmad Mawlood Mahmoud, a revered figure in the Peshmerga forces during the September Revolution, assumed the esteemed position of head of the revolutionary prison. Tragically, in 1969, he, along with two fellow comrades, fall victim to an ambush orchestrated by the Iraqi army near Halabja.


Mawlood Mahmoud, also known as Ahmad Mina, was born in 1932 in the Balkhay village of Biaray district in the Hawraman region. Ahmad hailed from a humble background as a villager and farmer. He was a devoted family man, blessed with three sons named Wishyar, Wakel, and Sardar, as well as three daughters named Mahtab, Suad, and Shana.

 He became a member of the struggle battalion of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Hawraman region in 1961, under the leadership of Sheikh Hama Amin. Displaying unwavering commitment, he sustained severe injuries in 1965 during a fight with the Iraqi army in the Belula region of Bamo hill. Two years later, he assumed the role of head of Shorsh prison, located in the Biara district of Hawraman region, which was under the supervision of the Khabat forces. Tragically, in 1969, Ahmad Mawlood, accompanied by his comrades Mullah Qayer and Ali Halaw, was ambushed by the Iraqi army in Hama Oghan village, situated between the Nawroli region and Halabja Province. After a fierce encounter lasting two hours, Ahmad Mawlood and his two comrades were martyred, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and sacrifice.

Jalal Mohammed Ahmad

Martyr Jalal Mohammed Ahmad served as a Peshmerga during the May Revolution. Throughout his Peshmerga career, he encountered two occurrences of injury. In 1982, he was apprehended by the Sulaimani security forces and subsequently executed. Jalal Mohammed Ahmad was born in 1962 in the village of Dula Suri, located in the Nalparez district of Penjwen district. He grew up as a villager and received education up until primary school.
