Martyr Xalîd Ehmed Feqê Ekber was born in 1941 in the village of Kanêskanî, which belongs to the Xurmal sub-district of Halabja province. He was a villager and engaged in village farming.

On November 12, 1963, he became a Peshmerga in the Fifth Branch of the Xebat battalion of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, where at that time Martyr Kemal Selîm was the commander of the Fifth Platoon.

The Ibrahîm Ehmed group attacked the positions of the Peshmerga forces and demanded that they surrender and turn against the revolution. For this reason, on September 12, 1964, at the Kêwe Reş position behind the Ranya district, Xalîd Ehmed Feqê and his fellow fighters did not surrender and resisted. In that attack and confrontation, Xalîd Ehmed Feqê was martyred.
