Martyr Sheikh Salih Faqe Khidr Bas was born in 1936 in Delziyan village, belonging to Choman town in Erbil Governorate. He was a villager engaged in farming.

In 1962, he joined the September Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Balak Force, which at that time was led by Teacher Hamid Effendi. He took part in the battles of that area. In 1962, he was martyred in Sidakan town by mercenaries of the Iraqi regime and was buried there.
