Mustafa Jafar Yusuf, known as (Sayyid Mustafa Benakawli), was born in 1933 in the village of Benakawli, Akoyan Valley, Rawanduz District.
Struggle RecordSayyid Mustafa Benakawli, in 1961, upon joining the Aylul Revolution became a member of the secret organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, as a brave and courageous Peshmerga, he soon made a place for himself and rose through the military ranks to the rank of platoon commander in the Handren Battalion of the Balak Force. This is due to the Martyr's bravery in the epics in which he participated in the Aylul Revolution , even in the Epic of Handren 1966 he was the first person to attack the Kapkamu outpost, and with the destruction of the enemy in that outpost, fear fell into the enemy's force, and they completely abandoned the mountain, recording the greatest victory for the Peshmerga forces.
Mustafa actively played his role in the epics of that era such as Korak, Daraheshk, Armushe, Gali Ali Beg, etc. Finally, as a result of the bombardment of their headquarters on January 5, 1975, which was located in the village of Barsirin, Rawanduz District, he was martyred. His body was transferred to the cemetery of the village of Akoyan and buried.
