Martyr Sadiq Yunis Shamo Argoshi was born in 1964 in Memida village of the Sherwan Mazin subdistrict, Mergasor district, Erbil Governorate. He was married. In 1978, he and his family were displaced to Turkey. In 1988, he was displaced to Iran and settled in the Ziwe camp in Eastern Kurdistan. In 1991, he returned to Southern Kurdistan.
In 1991, he joined the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces, became a Peshmerga in the Barzan Army, and received the rank of company commander in the Barzan Army. In 1997, he was martyred in the Mazuri Bala area by PKK militants.
