Martyr Sadiq Hashim Aziz was born in 1966 in the village of Meroz, affiliated with the Mergasor district of Erbil Governorate. He was 6 months old when his father, Hashim Aziz Merozi, was martyred on Mount Atrosh.

In the year 1975, after the collapse of the Aylul Revolution, he became a refugee in the Country of Turkey with his family. After staying for a while in the Country of Turkey, they headed to the Country of Iran and settled in the Zewe camp.

In the year 1983, he returned to the liberated areas of the revolution and joined the Peshmerga Forces of the Gulan Revolution and became a Peshmerga under his uncle, Commander Ahmad Merozi, and participated in several battles and activities in the region. To carry out a Peshmerga activity, he went to the Mizuri region, and on June 23, 1987, due to the bombing by the Ba'ath regime's army aircraft, he was martyred in the village of Meroz.
