At the end of 1976, he returned to Kurdistan and resided in his own village.
In the Year 1962, he joined the Peshmerga forces of the Aylul Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the force of Mahmud Kawani, which was affiliated with the Safin Force of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. Later, he was transferred to the battalion of Dr. Khalid in the Koya plain. In the Year 1964, after a large part of his comrades in their battalion turned against the revolution and decided to oppose the Aylul Revolution , Osman Khurshid alone reached the Martyr Faris Bawa in the Erbil Plain Force of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and in that force, he received the rank of head of branch and continued his armed struggle.
