Muhammad Mirza Yunis Sindi was born in 1957 in the city of Zakho, which was part of the Mosul Governorate at the time (now Duhok). He was raised by his father, the leader )Mirza Yunis Sufi( and learned Kurdishness and patriotism according to the sacred path of Barzani. Because Mirza Yunis was one of the prominent cadres of the Party, he was imprisoned and tortured several times by the regimes occupying Kurdistan for his national stances. From his early youth, Martyr Muhammad Mirza participated with his father in meetings and Party duties. While still a student in middle school, he began his revolutionary struggle within the ranks of the Kurdistan Students Union.
In 1980, he finished his studies at the Agricultural High School in Zakho and immediately joined the ranks of the Gulan Revolution (1976-1991) as a cadre in the Zakho Branch Committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and began his work. Later, in 1982, he began working as a political cadre with the (Ain Zala) organization under the supervision of Muhammad Qasim. Due to his effective role, after a period in 1983, he became the deputy of the (Dilbrin) organization under the supervision of Muhammad Mirza Mirza Sindi and worked in several fields related to organizational work within the borders of the Zakho Branch Committee of the Party. He had a prominent role in sending and delivering the secret organizational mail of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the Zakho area, as he was one of the secret Peshmerga and was appointed as the head of the (Secret Pen) of the committee. Although he performed his revolutionary duty as a political cadre during this period, whenever he felt there was a Peshmerga activity, he would immediately participate. The Ba'ath regime constantly exerted various pressures on the family of Martyr Muhammad Mirza so that he would abandon his revolutionary struggle, such as arresting the martyr's relatives and torturing them in the most brutal ways, as well as seizing all their property and assets, but these actions did not have a negative impact on the martyr's stance; on the contrary, he became more determined in his national stance.
After the Ba'ath regime began the Anfal operations in 1988, he was displaced to North Kurdistan and resided in the Diyarbakir camp. The martyr's mother, named )Khadija Yusuf( was martyred due to the shelling by the Ba'ath regime on the Haft Tanin mountain because of the severity and difficulty of her injury, and she was buried in the Diyarbakir camp. Later, after the 1991 Uprising, he immediately returned to Kurdistan with a number of his Peshmerga friends and again began his struggle in political, military, and security work. After the terrorist attacks of ISIS on the Kurdistan Region, Martyr Muhammad Mirza immediately reached the defense lines of the Kurdistan Region and defended the land of Kurdistan with all his might. Martyr Muhammad Mirza was not only a Peshmerga and an advanced cadre of the Party, but he was also an art lover and a poet. Unfortunately, on the night of Sunday, June 23, 2023, Muhammad Mirza Sufi was martyred in a terrorist act, and because of his service and hard work, the news of his martyrdom caused a great reaction at the world and Kurdistan level, and a large number of international reports mentioned the incident of his martyrdom.
