Lawyer and politician Mahmud Hashim Elyas Silo, known as Mahmud Ezdi. In 1985, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He was a delegate to the eleventh (1993) and twelfth (1999) congresses of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and in 2010, at the thirteenth congress, he was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. In 2017, he became the official of the twentieth branch committee of Sheikhan.
Biography
Mahmud Ezdi was born in 1970 in the town of (Baadre – Sheikhan), which is affiliated with the Duhok governorate. In 2010, he received a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Duhok. He is proficient in Kurdish and Arabic languages.
Work History
Mahmud Ezdi, in 1975, after the defeat of the September Revolution, migrated with his family to Iran, and in 1976 he returned to South Kurdistan, where he was exiled and deported to southern Iraq by the Ba'ath regime, and in 1978 he returned to Duhok.
In 1985, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and in 1991, in the Sheikhan force, he joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces. In 1992, he participated in an intellectual course at the headquarters of the first branch in Duhok, which lasted for two months. In 1998, he participated in the eleventh course of the cadre institute in the city of Erbil.
He was a delegate to the eleventh (1993) and twelfth (1999) congresses of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and in 2010, at the thirteenth congress, he was elected as a member of the leadership council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
During his work within the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, he held the following duties and responsibilities: Official of the Batel district committee (2000), Official of the Khabat district committee (2002), Official of the Sinjar and Sinune district committee (2003), Administrator of the twentieth branch committee of Sheikhan (2006), Official of the Alqosh district committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (2007), Deputy official of the oversight and inspection board (2011), Official of the twentieth branch committee of Sheikhan (2017).
In 2022, at the fourteenth congress, he was elected as a member of the central committee of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
