Martyr Maghdid Hamed Ali Faqe was born in 1955 in the village of Girtagi, belonging to the town of Choman in Erbil Governorate. He was a villager engaged in farming.

In 1971, he joined the Aylul Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the 4th Battalion of the Balek force, which at that time was commanded by Izzat Suleiman Beg Dargalai. He took part in the battles of Korek and Hindren. In 1974, he was martyred on Mount Hindren while on Peshmerga duty by a mine explosion.
