Martyr Karub Aziz Hussein Faqiani was born on June 1, 1963, in the village of Faqiani, affiliated with the Rawanduz district of Erbil province. He was married and had two sons. He was a middle school graduate. He was martyred on May 13, 1983.
In 1981, he joined the Socialist Party and in 1982, he became a Peshmerga in the 12th Handren Region. He participated in several battles against the Iraqi Army and the mercenary forces of the Ba'ath government. In 1983, he participated in the battle of Faqiani village against the attack of the Iraqi Army. On May 13, 1983, in the village of Binmerde, affiliated with the Rawanduz district, he was taken prisoner by the forces of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and was executed by firing squad in the village of Alana, affiliated with the Khalifan sub-district. His body was brought back to the city of Rawanduz and buried in the Garde Dard cemetery.
