Martyr Haji Salih Haji Sune was born in Year 1934 in the village of Shaways, affiliated with Erbil Governorate. He was a villager and engaged in farming and animal husbandry. He studied up to the primary stage, was married, and had two sons and one daughter.
Martyr Haji Salih in Aylul Revolution and in Year 1965 joined the Peshmerga Forces of the Aylul Revolution and in the Rasul Faqi branch affiliated with the third battalion of the Safin Force of the Peshmerga of the Kurdistan Democratic Party became a Peshmerga.
Haji Salih participated in the epics of (Mount Safin - Smaquli - Bani Harir - Hiran and Nazanin - Kawartian).
In Year 1974, in the defensive position of the Peshmerga Forces on Mount Safin, as a result of the shelling by the artillery of the then-regime of Iraq, Haji Salih was wounded and was martyred.
