Martyr Fattah Haji Mustafa was born in 1955 in Gwani village, affiliated with the town of Diana in Erbil Governorate; he was a villager and engaged in farming.
In 1974, he joined the September Revolution, became a Peshmerga in the 3rd Battalion of the Balak Forces, and participated in the battles of Goraez and Galiy Ali Beg. In the same year, he was martyred in the Battle of Galiy Ali Beg by the army of the Iraqi regime.
