Martyr Asad Wisyen Ghafur Hussein was born in 1972 in the city of Halabja and studied up to the fourth grade of high school. In 1989, he was arrested by the Ba'ath General Security in the city of Sulaymaniyah and was imprisoned for a year and four months, and a death sentence was issued for him, but due to the uprising of the Shiites in the cities of Najaf and Karbala in 1991, he saved himself from prison.
In 1983, he went to the village of Ahmad Awa to become a Peshmerga, but due to his young age, he was not accepted by the Commanders of the Peshmerga Forces. In 1983, after returning from the mountains, he immediately established contact with the secret wings of the Kurdistan Democratic Party. He became a cadre in the wing of Hewraman Osman, who was the head of the organization and under the Halabja District Committee of the Fourth Branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party; he was an intellectual and active cadre and supervised a group of activities.
In October 1989, Asad Wisyen Ghafur went to the village of Baynjan near the city of Sulaymaniyah to hold a meeting with the secret wings of that area. However, one of the participants in the meeting was a traitor and revealed the time and place of the meeting. Because of that, Asad was surrounded and arrested by soldiers and intelligence cadres of the Ba'ath regime inside the village. Later, they transferred him to the main prison of the city of Sulaymaniyah, and after nine months of imprisonment, they sent him to the Northern System (Menzumeya Shimali) of Kirkuk. Right there, the death sentence was issued for him. To carry out the decision of the Iraqi Revolutionary Court, they transferred Asad to the Najaf prison. However, due to the uprising of the people of the city of Najaf and the collapse of the security situation of the city, Asad Wisyen Ghafur found an opportunity and saved himself from prison. He was a Peshmerga of the popular uprising of the people of Kurdistan.
On March 7, 1991, during the capture of the Baynjan Police station, a bullet hit his legs and he was wounded. After receiving the necessary treatment, he decided not to stop and to participate in the uprising operation.
