Salim Khan Maran Omar, a Peshmerga and President Barzani's comrade to the Soviet Union, was born in 1920 in Bedod village. He participated in both the September and May Revolutions as an active and brave Peshmerga. He died in 1991 in Shino.

Saleem Saeed Faqe Abdulrahman, a Peshmerga and Barzani's comrade to the Soviet Union, was born in 1906 in Barzan village. He was a Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Democratic Republic in Mahabad. He participated in the September Revolution. On July 31, 1983, he disappeared from the Iraqi government during the Anfal operation against the Barzanis in the Qushtapa community.

Saleem Isa Yasin, a Peshmerga and Barzani's comrade to the Soviet Union, was born in 1903 in the village of Pendro. He was a fighter in the First and Second Barzan revolutions. He was a Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Democratic Republic in Mahabad. He participated in the September Revolution and was in Barzani's headquarters. He died in 1986 in Tehran.

Saleem Aziz Saleem, a Peshmerga and Barzani's comrade to the Soviet Union, was born in 1925 in the village of Kurke. He was a fighter in the Second Barzan Revolution. He was a Peshmerga in the Kurdistan Democratic Republic in Mahabad. He was a Peshmerga in both the September and May Revolutions. He participated in the Battle of Khawkurk. He is the holder of the Barzani Medal. He died in 2011.
