Hashem Elias Slu (Mahmoud Ezdi)

Hashem Elias Slu known as (Mahmoud Ezdi) the commander and peshmarga of the September and Gulan Revolution, in 1963, in the beginning of the September Revolution joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.


The martyr commander with many of his comrades had shot the first bullet for the Gulan pro progress revolution in the Badinan area. On the night of 18th on 19th of August 1979 in the village of Radnya on Gara side Mohmoud Yazidi was killed by a treacherous hand.


Biography 

Hashem Elias Slu known as Mahmoud Yezidi, was born in 1944 in The Baadre sub-district, after the Fail of September revolution he was displaced to Iran with his family. After several months, his family and brother sent Hussein and his children to Iraq to surrender themselves to the Iraqi regime, were martyred by a treacherous hand in the village of Radnya on the night of August 18th on 19، 1979.

In 1985, in the Gulan revolution the Martyr's Funeral was transferred to the Kani Mazi of Barwary area, on August 18, 2001, he was transferred to Lalish in a military ceremony attended by the representative of The President Masoud Barzani. In 2011, the statue of the legendary martyr Mahmud Ezdi was built by the side of the Ministry of Culture of the Kurdistan Regionin in the Shekhan intersection.


Memoir of Struggle 

Martyr Hashem Elias Slu Known as Mahmoud Ezdi, after a difficult life in the Iraqi army and a good education in the military duty, in 1963, in the beginning of the September revolution joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and became a Peshmerga and continued to struggle until 1975. Martyr Mahmoud has had made many meetings and decided to cross the borders of Iran, Iraq and Turkey to Syria with his comrades and participate in several training courses in Syria, there they get devastated and were forced to escape to Turkey and go to the villages of Guyi and Qshuria.

Martyr Mahmoud with Adel Mizuri and some of his comrades escape to The Kurdistan Region of Iraq and will participate in a wide gathering with the participation of Sami Abdulrahman, Jawahar Namiq, Zaim Ali, and Karim Shingali, they carry the message of revolution, the decision of the interim leadership, and many announcements, and they start organizational work on March 3, 1976, and they will see many Peshmerga of September, and they spread Barzani's message and establish many secret organizations.

The first shot of the Gulan revolution in the area was on the hands of the martyr leader and many of his supporters, the military headquarters of the Ba'ath regime was the target, and on that day the Gulan revolution was launched, after they will be revealed because of the large scale activities, most of their comrades will join the ranks of peshmarga and continue their activities and the military activities on the enemy's trenches sequentially targeting them.

The martyr commander Mahmoud Izidi was involved in many battles and activities, and he had a significant role in the Battle of Pelekefe, in which he was injured twice, battles of Atrush, Shamkani,The stream of Kurtki, Barkjki, Al-Qush, Sarsnke, the the stream of Kurtke in which he got injured, the epic of Sarsnke, the epic of Chaman, Dostaka and Kani, Nasre, Bani, Deralush, Dakan, Blan, The Battle of Matin, Gara and etc.

Many artists and composers have written on the heroism and saga of the legendary martyr Mahmud Ezdi and sung like Qadir Qachakh, Ja'far Eminki, Mahmud, Muaed Tayib, Abdul-Rahman Mizuri, Qadir Hassan Masuza and Majid Hasu, Arif Hito, Hishtar Rekani, Hussein Baadri, Zharu Duhoki, Habib Kaalesh. Qadir Hassan and Dr. Saeed Khudeda have published a book on the life of martyr Mahmud Ezdi.

Later on, He became the commander of the Artillery Force of the Aylul Revolution and an assistant to Mala Mustafa Barzani for artillery affairs.

Mohammad Hassan Bajlouri

Martyr Commander Mohammed Hassan Salim Ahmad was a Peshmerga of both the Aylul and Gullan Revolutions. In 1961, he contacted the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces. Then he was promoted to the rank of commander of the 4th Battalion of the Duhok Forces. On 26th November 1983, in the battle of Shino, he was martyred.
