Habib Hamarashid Wahab

Martyr Habib Hamarashid Wahab, a Peshmerga of the Gulan Revolution, was ambushed in Hawraman in 1979 by the Iraqi regime of that time and was martyred.


Habib Hamarashid Wahab was born in 1939 in Biyara sub-district of Halabja governorate. He was a resident of Biyra and worked in gardening, he only got primary school education, and was married and his wife was Zanuba Abdul-Kadir they had three sons and two daughters, two of whom were martyred by the name of Sahib in 1988 and Hawraman in 1995.

He became a peshmarga in the Hawraman force of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, in which Nadir Hawrami was the commander of the force at the time. In 1979, with a regiment of Peshmerga fighters who went to Hawraman region for partisan activities, they got ambushed by the Iraqi regime soldiers and collaborators (Jashs) at the time, and after the confrontation, Habib Hamarashid Wahab was seriously injured and his companions transported him to Iran for treatment, but because of the severity of the wound, he was martyred after remaining for only one day in Tehran hospital.

Unfortunately, in 1982, he was tragically martyred by a betrayer while serving as a Peshmerga. This individual seized his weapon and a portion of his body and surrendered to the Ba'athists.

Martyr Sabah Mohammad Arif, following the collapse of the September Revolution, sought refuge in Iran and joined the Peshmerga forces during the May Revolution. Tragically, in 1981, he fall victim to an ambush by PUK forces in the Sharazoor plain, resulting in his martyrdom.

Jalal Mohammed Ahmad

Martyr Jalal Mohammed Ahmad served as a Peshmerga during the May Revolution. Throughout his Peshmerga career, he encountered two occurrences of injury. In 1982, he was apprehended by the Sulaimani security forces and subsequently executed. Jalal Mohammed Ahmad was born in 1962 in the village of Dula Suri, located in the Nalparez district of Penjwen district. He grew up as a villager and received education up until primary school.
