Anjumen Yar Ahmad Afrasiaw

Martyr Anjuman Yar Ahmad Afrasiaw was a Peshmerga of both the Aylul and Gulan Revolutions. He was martyred in 1983 in the battle of Ahmadawa.


In the Hawraman region's Zardahali village of the Biaray district, Anjuman Yar Ahmad Afrasiaw was born in 1955. He worked on farms. He completed his primary-level studies.

He enlisted in the Peshmerga in 1974 alongside Agbar Haider Khanaqi, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)'s fourth branch of the seventh battalion. He also participated in the Aylul Revolution as a Peshmerga in the Mergasur, Rawanduz, and Bekhal regions.

He re-joined the KDP's Hawraman forces in November 1981, under the command of Nader Hawrami. He was one of Nader Hawrami's closest associates.

He took part in the Ahmad Awa battle in 1983. During a confrontation with the army of the Ba'ath regime, he was shot and martyred. Rauf Hajiji and Sayed Kamal, two of his comrades, were also martyred.

Jalal Mohammed Ahmad

Martyr Jalal Mohammed Ahmad served as a Peshmerga during the May Revolution. Throughout his Peshmerga career, he encountered two occurrences of injury. In 1982, he was apprehended by the Sulaimani security forces and subsequently executed. Jalal Mohammed Ahmad was born in 1962 in the village of Dula Suri, located in the Nalparez district of Penjwen district. He grew up as a villager and received education up until primary school.
