Genocide of the Barzanis (Harir Complex)
On the date of August 10, 1983, several forced-settlement complexes where the Barzanis were settled were besieged, such as the Harir camp, and they searched for the men and boys of the Barzanis, and some were arrested and sent to the deserts of southern Iraq and disappeared there, because there was prior news that the Ba'ath regime's forces would attack this complex as well; some people fortunately were able to save themselves.
