On 7/13 at 6 o'clock in the morning, the 21st Brigade, with the support of (4) MiG aircraft, artillery, and tanks, attacked towards the Arana Valley, but the heroic Peshmerga, led by Tanju Yunis, Sheikh Raqib, Majid Tahir, and Haji Saeed Bag, resisted them lion-heartedly. The battle continued until 7:30 in the evening. In this, the enemy suffered heavy losses, more than (50) military bodies were left in the field, and they fled in disgrace. Our spoils: 1- Degtyaryov machine gun and 300 rounds, 2- (3) Simonov rifles, 3- one 82mm mortar, 4- two Sterling machine guns, 5- some other items and belongings. They came to take back the bodies of the killed and wounded soldiers. Our loss was only (1) Peshmerga wounded.
