A reflection on the Kurdish language in the face of opportunities and challenges related to language policy and planning

The Kurd is a linguistic nation; its definition and national ethnicity are concentrated in its language, in such a way that being Kurd expresses itself before anything else in language and through its language. This confirms the fact that language, more than land, has preserved the distinct existence of the Kurdish nation. Based on this fact, planning, organizing, following up, and monitoring the Kurdish language to find and identify problems and shortcomings, as well as immediate and urgent attempts to solve them, is still late, because negligence and ignoring it will be a major factor in the weakness and sluggishness of the language and will lead it towards decline and stagnation, because language, like all other living organisms and biological entities, is born, lives, and dies.
