The Secret Circle

This book has organized its topics in the style of a book, consisting of a preface, three books, and a glossary.

The first book is about espionage procedures, the theory and practice of intelligence in ancient China, and consists of an introduction and several sections regarding the spy, secrecy and counter-measures, covert activity and psychological warfare, theories of assessment and intelligence, personality, implementation of the intelligence process, signs of a failed state, military and field intelligence.

The second book discusses intelligence, from secrecy to politics, and includes an introduction and several sections discussing what intelligence is, the development of US intelligence agencies, the intelligence process (who does what for whom?), information gathering and rules, analysis, counter-intelligence, covert activity, the role of the politician, supervision and responsibility, intelligence programs, the issue of ethics in intelligence, and foreign intelligence agencies.

The third book is about the art of espionage and consists of an introduction and several sections that include who spies?, prominent espionage activities, US security agencies, Moscow the city of spies, sabotage, message concealment equipment, secret meeting places, weapons, how to become a spy, and the fate of the spy.
