This battle took place on 5 May 1987 in Dêrelok in the Amediye district, the Peshmerga Forces attacked the light regiment headquarters (111), after a fierce battle they were able to capture the regiment and 81 surrounding positions, and also dealt heavy blows to the regime forces in terms of killed, wounded, and captured soldiers and mercenaries.
