Ali Shaban
Ali Shaban (1925-1995), a Peshmerga and companion of Mustafa Barzani to the Soviet Union, participated in the Second Barzan Revolution (1943-1945) and was one of the Peshmerga of the army of the Republic of Kurdistan in Mahabad (1946). He participated in the Aylul Revolution (1961-1975), the Gulan Revolution (1976-1991), and the 1991 uprising. He held the ranks of first person in charge of the Barzani headquarters, commander of the Betwata force, battalion commander, and commander of the 15th Force.
