Sabir Abdulkarim Muhammad was born in the year 1955 in the village of Pushta in the Tagozhi region, affiliated with Halabja Governorate. He was a villager and engaged in farming.
In the year 1976, he became a Peshmerga under Qadir Hama Salih Tagozhi, who in the Aylul Revolution was the Head of Branch of the Sixth Battalion of Bamo of the Khabat Force of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
In the year 1978, a PUK Force, under the command of Mala Bakhtiar, planned to sit and hold discussions with the Peshmerga of that region of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, specifically with Qadir Hama Salih Tagozhi as a well-known Commander in that border area. However, Qadir Hama Salih Tagozhi sent a detachment of Peshmerga under the command of his brother, Aziz Hama Salih, and Sabir Abdulkarim was a Peshmerga of that detachment. Following the discussions and eating dinner in one of the houses of that village, the Party detachment decided to stay in the village. But late at night, the PUK Force, which was larger in number than their detachment, attacked the Peshmerga detachments of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and as a result, Sabir Abdulkarim Muhammad and five of his comrades named Jaafar Mahdi, Sabir Abdulkarim Muhammad, Muhammad Karim, Aziz Gulani, and Ibrahim Shamirani were martyred, and Ahmad Abdulrahman was severely wounded. Also, Aziz Hama Salih Tagozhi was detained by Mala Bakhtiar.
