Mistefa Husên Mihemed Bapîr, known as Mistefa Amêdî and Mudîr, was born in 1939 in the Amêdî district of Duhok Governorate. In 1961 he established contact with the Peshmerga Forces of the Aylul Revolution and became a Peshmerga. In the same year he took part in the battle of Gelyê Zawîte in the Duhok area and Deşta Dûban in the Zakho area. During the same period he was trained to operate using Morse code and became head of Betel. After the Behdînan forces were formed, Mistefa Amêdî assumed responsibility for operating the equipment of the Betel units of the Behdînan Military Force and served in that role with Esed Xoşewî until 1975.
In 1975, after the defeat of the Aylul Revolution, he went to East Kurdistan and settled in the Zêwe camp. Before Iran's government dissolved that camp, Mistefa Amêdî was transferred to the city of Simnan. In 1979, after the overthrow of the Shah's regime in Iran and the Islamic Republic regime coming to power, he returned to the city of Urmia and settled his family there. He himself went to the Zêwe camp and ran the Political Bureau's communications with the Leq and Peshmerga forces through the Betel equipment. He opened three training courses for Betel section personnel and trained a number of cadres to use Betel equipment and operate with Morse code.
In 1991, after the uprising and revolt in South Kurdistan, he returned to Pirmam with the office of President Masoud Barzanî and continued his work there. In the same year, through the Political Bureau, he became a member of the Administrative Committee for Betel Communications Affairs.
On August 16, 1996, at the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, he received the Barzani Medal from President Masoud Barzanî for the services he had provided.
Mistefa Amêdî died on April 3, 2023, at the age of 84.
