He was a member of the fifth term of the Kurdistan Parliament, chair of the Committee for Kurdish Areas Outside the Region, and a member of the committee defending women's rights.

On 6 November 2022, at the Fourteenth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the city of Duhok, he was elected by the congress members as an alternate member of the Central Committee.
