In 2001, he became a member of the Tenth Congress of the Kurdistan Students Union and was elected as an alternate at that congress. In 2004, at the Eleventh Congress of the Kurdistan Students Union, he was elected as a member of the Executive Committee and later, at the first meeting of the Executive Committee, was elected Secretary of the Kurdistan Students Union. On 6 November 2022, at the Fourteenth Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the city of Duhok, he was elected by the congress members as a member of the Central Committee.
