Awla Rash Rustayi in 1969, in his youth, joined the Peshmerga forces of the Aylul Revolution and became a Peshmerga in the Balak force. In 1976, at the beginning of the outbreak of the Gulan Revolution , he rejoined the Peshmerga forces and served in the Balak Regional Committee as a regional administrator and in the military wing as a partisan unit in the Balakayati region. He participated in several partisan battles, including the Battle of Kospi Spi on the road to Soran and Haji Omaran, and the Battle of Gori Netwe in the Smilan sub-district, affiliated with the Choman district of Erbil province. In 1994, in the battle to defend the rule of law in the village of Juizani, Galala sub-district, Choman district, he was severely wounded by PKK militants, until finally, on the night of June 9, 1999, while defending the entity of the Kurdistan Region, he was martyred by PKK militants.
