The Story of Shaxolan
The story of Shaxolan took place at the end of February 1969 in the village of Shaxolan, north of Erbil, when two Peshmerga went to that village for revolutionary work. A government force consisting of the army and Jash passed through the village, and for whatever reason, they realized the presence of the Peshmerga, so they surrounded the village and a battle broke out between them. After two days of fighting and clashes, both Peshmerga were martyred, but they caused great damage to the army and Jash in terms of dead and wounded.
