Dereluk-Sheladze Battle 1988

This battle took place between the Peshmerga Forces and the Iraqi government in the Badinan region. On the night of 11 to 12 January 1988, the Peshmerga Forces, within the border of Branch 1 of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, launched a wide-scale attack on the military and armed institutions of the Iraqi government in Dereluk and Sheladze. In a short time, they were able to seize all the military outposts, trenches, mercenary gunmen, and party, government, and military headquarters, inflicting heavy human and material losses on the government forces.

The Epic of Mli Sarije 1963

This epic took place in August 4 of the year 1963 between Barzan, Ble, and their surroundings. The government of Iraq launched an attack on Barzan and its surrounding villages in order to seize them, destroy them, and disrupt the Kurdish revolution in that region. However, the Peshmerga forces, under the direct leadership of Barzani, the leader of the revolution, strongly resisted them and did not allow their plan to succeed. The Haji Omaran Battle 1980

This battle took place on 15 November 1980 in the Haji Omaran area. When the war between Iraq and Iran occurred, the revolution leadership wanted to seize the opportunity: if the situation of the Iraqi Army on the Haji Omaran border was unstable, they would move the revolution's activities there and take control of it. Health Institutions of the September Revolution

The September Revolution; a comprehensive revolution from Zakho to Khanaqin, had more than 65000 km2 of liberated Kurdistan territory under its control; most of that land was inhabited and populated. The Infamous Anfal Campaign

Anfal was a campaign of genocide, destruction, and erasure of the Kurdish nation. The Ba'ath regime carried it out in several different stages: in 1971 against the Faili Kurds, in 1983 against the Barzanis, and in 1988 it covered the entire territory of Kurdistan.
